      Established in 1896 by Arthur J. Parkes, a trained "Die Sinker" at the Royal Mint in London, AJ Parkes & Company has grown into one of Australia's oldest and most experienced medallion manufacturers. With repeated success in acquiring some of the most prestigious business contracts including the 1982 Commonwealth Games, 1987 World Veterans Games, Brisbane's Expo '88, 2003 South Pacific Games, 2004 Gold Coast Marathon, the 2004 Asia Pacific Games and the 2005 Pride of Australia Awards to name just a few, the Company has become renowned for exceptional quality and attention to detail.
 
      Our Master Craftsman have handed down the skills through the generations, retaining the traditions that have built our strong reputation in the industry and our new business focus on innovation and technology has led to our Company becoming the perfect blend between technology and tradition. This mix of traditional skills, new ideas and forward thinking ensures that our products are of the highest quality, are affordable and can be customised to suit our customers' ever growing variety of requirements.

      As the business has grown and diversified into other product areas, we have created a series of divisions to focus more directly on the development of their represented product groups. Parkes Mint is our large metal product division, encapsulating our medallion, belt buckle and replica medal manufacturing and distribution.
 
      This brand carries with it more than a century of medallion manufacturing excellence, ensuring that every Parkes Mint product stands up to a reputation more than 100 years in the making. Surviving a depression and two world wars, our reputation has not been easy to attain - but through hard work, development and true pride in what we do we have.
